The 2014 China Integrated Circuit Industry Promotion Conference, sponsored by the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Hubei Provincial Economic and Information Commission, the Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center (CSIP) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and undertaken by the Management Committee of Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone and Wuhan Information Industry Office, was held in Wuhan on November 6.

Vice Minister Xueshan Yang pointed out in his speech that with the acceleration of China's economic transformation and upgrading, the fundamental, strategic and pioneering position of the IC industry has become increasingly prominent. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the integrated circuit industry. On June 24 this year, the official release of the "National IC Industry Development Promotion Outline". This outline is a programmatic document for the development of the integrated circuit industry in the next few years. Compared with the previous industrial policies, it has three distinctive features. The first is to attach importance to the leadership through organizational guarantee. Second, according to the need for high-intensity investment in the construction of the integrated circuit industry, the establishment of a national integrated circuit industry development fund. The third is the planning and deployment of the whole industry chain, which promotes the sustainable development of IC industry with a good foundation and environment. 

With the deep concern of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and the efforts of all circles, China's integrated circuit industry has further achieved good results. From January to September 2014, the industry achieved sales revenue of RMB 212.6 billion, an increase of 17.2% year-on-year; The sales revenue of the design industry was 74.7 billion yuan, an increase of 30% year-on-year. This shows that under the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, China's IC industry is showing good development and growth momentum. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will implement the objectives and tasks of the State Council on promoting the development of the integrated circuit industry. Realize leapfrog development through long-term unremitting efforts.

With the theme of "Promoting the linkage between the whole machine and chip to build a large IC industry chain", more than 500 representatives from upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain discussed the theme of the conference in depth. Mr. Jingming Bai, deputy director of the Institute of Fiscal Science, Ministry of Finance, analyzed the financial policy of industrial investment, and Mr. Junning Chen, a nuclear high-foundation expert, introduced the status, trend and challenges of SoC for intelligent mobile terminals. Wuhan Xinxin IC Manufacturing Co., Ltd., ARM, Huada Jiutian, Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd. and other enterprises made wonderful reports. The conference also announced the results of the 9th "China Chip" selection, and awarded 10 best market performance products, 11 most promising products, 5 most valuable investment enterprises and 5 most innovative application products.

The Conference will set up IC Technology and Development Forum, Mobile Internet Forum, Internet of Things and Sensors Forum, and Investment and Financing Forum. Among them, the investment and financing forum is still receiving much attention. The recent establishment of the National Integrated Circuit Industry Development Fund has triggered a new round of heated discussions on investment and financing topics in the industry.
